Hellenic Women's Club

The Hellenic Women's Club, Inc., also known as Epsilon Omicron Kappa (EOK), is a dedicated philanthropic organization serving the Brookline, MA community and greater Boston area. Operating as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit since 1936, the organization specializes in raising funds for medical research, cultural institutions, educational organizations, and community causes through carefully curated fundraising events and sustained donor partnerships.

The Club's primary initiatives include The Demetra Fund for Breast Cancer Research and Patient Assistance, established to honor member Demetra Samellas and supporting both research advancement and patient care. Additionally, EOK administers an annual scholarship program awarding $5,000 to deserving young women of Greek descent based on academic merit, community service, and leadership. The organization hosts two major annual fundraising events: the prestigious Mistletoe Ball held each November at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, a tradition since 1946, and a spring fashion event benefiting The Demetra Fund.

With a selective membership of 45 dedicated women meeting monthly, EOK has demonstrated remarkable philanthropic impact, distributing nearly $2 million to worthy organizations over the past sixteen years. The organization combines Greek cultural values with contemporary charitable work, welcoming community members and supporters to participate in its mission. Through generous Sustaining Sponsors and individual donors, The Hellenic Women's Club continues expanding its reach across medical, cultural, and educational sectors while maintaining the highest standards of organizational integrity and community service.
